Project Description
Charge carrier mobilities in organic semiconductors are limited by transient localization of charges due to intermolecular vibrations at low frequencies. We will apply charge transport measurements and vibrational spectroscopy techniques (THz-spectroscopy, IR-SNOM, Raman spectroscopy) to investigate the impact of low-frequency phonons. Charge transport properties of single crystals and thin films of selected N-heteropolycycles will be determined on long (µm) and short (nm) length scales and correlated with the molecular structure and intermolecular vibrations.
